There was a pic of the drill ship Globe Trotter on one report so I'm guessing that's where they caught these. It appears to be a YFT limit for fishermen and crew. My somewhat okay eye for YFT weights tells me there are multiple 100#+. And a sword to boot!Go to a tackle shop and pick one up. 50Ws are perfect and even 30Ws are good. You are on a small maneuverable boat using spectra. Get a 50W, 50 or 30W, load it up with 5-600 yards of 130# JB HC and the rest with 80 or 100 mono for a topshot. The 50W will get 100-150 yards for a topshot with 600 yards of spectra.Rod will target sub 100lb class and paired with 8k Stella. These are 3 on my radar, any feedback is much appreciated. Casting distance is plus and from what I've read so far the Canary really shines here though I cant imagine the 85F would be far behind..Here's another vote for the Makaira 20/30 for 200-400lb tuna. I personally think Talica 25II is out of it's league with 400lb class fish in the mix, Talica 50II is probably the next logical choice if you're going with Shimano. When I got it it was much bigger than I expected. It was also quite a bit heavier than expected. I wouldn’t have been happy with it so I traded it for a TN 10a. Perfect. Although I never fished it, the reel felt solid. A little tank comes to mind. It was smooth enough. Held a lot of line. Supposedly a lot of drag.. Download google photos app
